Your smile is important. It's one of the first things you notice
when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful.
Whitening your teeth can drastically change your appearance and
boost your self-esteem - it can help you feel better about yourself
and make a memorable impression.
Teeth whitening is the most commonly requested cosmetic dentistry
procedure. It's designed to enhance your appearance by reducing
tooth discoloration and staining to elicit a brighter, whiter smile.
Prevalence of Tooth Discoloration
Tooth discoloration and staining is a relatively common problem. Teeth are porous and
are therefore not stain resistant. Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and
darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth,
such as drinking coffee, tea, soft drinks and red wine or smoking.
You may feel that your teeth are too discolored to ever be white again, but we are
achieving amazing results with the newest whitening techniques. In today advancement
in technologies, there is a variety of smile whitening methods and technologies.
Your smile can easily be whitened in a number of ways:
Types of Tooth Whitening
There are two basic options for smile whitening:
1. In-office tooth whitening: instant whitening results using light-activated gel to brighten teeth.
2. At-home whitening systems: customised trays and prescription whitening gel done at home.
In-office tooth whitening gives immediate whitening results after treatment.
At-home tooth whitening systems need to be done as directed by your dentist over a
period of time to attain the result warranted.
At our dental clinic we utilize L.E.D. Tooth whitening technologies for our entire in-office tooth whitening treatments. These new L.E.D, technologies are able to go beyond in your natural tooth to target stain molecules below the surface, within the structure of the tooth itself, oxidize them, and remove them completely.
L.E.D, Tooth Whitening is one of the most advanced, widely accepted and effective tooth whitening methods in current use. It has transformed the appearance of thousands of patients. Even for those whose teeth are deeply stained, yellowed or gray in color.
LED based teeth whitening system (alternative to laser or plasma lamps) BT Cool is a set of 4 high-power L.E.D. lamps. It can whiten teeth by 6-8 shades in 30 minutes during one treatment. The emitted light is cool, safe and doesn't cause pain. With proper diet, effects remain for a long time. The Bt Cool is safe and simple to use. Both arches are whitened at the same time.

It is easy to understand what is proceeding. No misunderstanding between client and dentist.
The chemical reaction:
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) breaks down to water (H2O) and free oxygen radical (O). The free radicals chemically reduce larger organic-pigmented molecules in the enamel matrix into smaller, less pigmented constituents by rapid oxidation. These compounds have double bonds and long carbon chains that are subsequently reduced to smaller carbon chains and hydroxyl groups, which eliminate discoloration. It does not decompose readily, which is why traditional bleaching procedures require lengthy visits.
L.E.D. Tooth Whitening
The L.E.D machine's L.E.D. wavelength output is synchronised to the specially blended whitening gel. This increases efficiency and minimizes the amount of energy required to produce maximum whitening. This effectively shortens treatment times, increases effectiveness and eliminates the heating of teeth that can result in post-operative sensitivity.
Non-L.E.D. Tooth Whitening
Ordinary non-L.E.D. whitening systems require longer treatment times and higher energy output because of their inefficiencies. Non-L.E.D. whitening devices use a smaller percentage of the polychromatic light's energy. The rest of the energy is wasted as heat and, which is absorbed by the teeth and adjacent tissues. This results in infra-operative and post-operative sensitivity.
Benefits of Tooth Whitening
Corrects brown, yellow tooth staining.
Corrects tooth discoloration due to heavy usage of certain drugs.
Works on people of all ages.

More efficient L.E.D. energy allows for faster treatment time and less post-procedure sensitivity compared to other in-office whitening treatments.
No need to wear the tray over night as used in at-home whitening systems.
Accredited by FDA and CE
Benefits of Home Whitening
